Jorge Guevara is responsible for external and internal communication, and social responsibility for American Express in Latin America, including the activities of the American Express Foundation, which promotes the sustainable development of underrepresented communities and the reactivation of their small businesse, as well as the Leadership Academy and various projects related to the fight aginats climate change. He also the leads the global committee of Communication's Inclusion and Diversity. He was the founder of the company's PRIDE+ network of colleagues in Mexico, and since 2014 he has assumed the role of executive sponsor of the same. Jorge Guevara has spoke at Love4All, Women's Economic Forum (Mexico and Spain), Mexican Association of Communicators, Tec de Monterrey (EGADE and Campus Monterrey), and was in charge of designing and implementing an LGBT+ inclusion workshop for the American Chamber in Mexico. Jorge Guevara is a Doctor of Psychology, graduated with honors, and holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology (honorable mention and Summa Cum Laude) from the University of the Americas CDMX. He also holds a Masters of Administration with Specialty in Human Resources, Master's Degree in Digital Humanities, Bachelor of Psychology and Computer Systems Engineer. He has developed scientific research with a phenomenological approach to understand and combat stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV, in addition to promoting adherence to retroviral treatment, entitled "HIV: Stigma is the Disease" and "From the Shadow to HIVda". Jorge has voluntereed as therapist at Casa de la Sal, supporting people from the LGBT+ community who live or coexist with the virus. He is a recurring columnist at the digital edition of Expansión MX on topics related to the diversity and inclusion. Before joining American Express in 2007, he worked at IBM Mexico, Fleishman Hillard Mexico, and was a journalist for the Reforma newspaper where he also participated in the program "Negocios Mexico”, a co-production of CNN and Reforma.
