Hussein AL-NATSHEH

Hussein AL-NATSHEH currently serves as the Chief Artificial Intelligence (AI) Officer at Mawdoo3.com, the biggest Arabic website with more than 50 million unique visitors a month. When he joined Mawdoo3 in 2017, he founded the AI team who developed the best available Arabic Natural Language Understanding (NLU) toolkit (ai.mawdoo3.com). He also led the development of the first Arabic digital assistant "Salma", which is similar to "Alexa" or "Siri" but understands Arabic dialects and speaks Arabic natively (Salma.ai). Hussein holds a PhD degree from the University of Lyon, France in AI and Text Data Science in addition to 3 Master's degrees in the same field and a BSc in computer engineering. In 2009, he founded "Ciapple", a predictive analytics technology provider of analysing customers' behavioural data to predict their buying interest. Ciapple has received several regional technology business innovation awards. Previously in 2007, he served as the innovation and technology commercialization program manager at Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship.
