Noel Chinyama

I am a Projects implementer who is driven by a strong passion to sustainable development and poverty alleviation, I bring over 9 years of progressive experience designing, coordinating and leading integrated resilience programs that advance environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and inclusive economic growth in Malawi. With a solid traceable record of leading multi-sectoral donor funded programs across 4 district councils of Nsanje, Chikwawa, Mangochi and Nkhotakota, working closely with NGOs, government institutions, and community stakeholders. Proven skills in co-managing and strengthening MEAL systems, leading teams in developing detailed implementation plans, risk registers, and issue logs, and establishing robust feedback and response mechanisms. I have also provided technical leadership, capacity building, and performance oversight to project teams with a total of 104 staff, while shaping stakeholder engagement strategies that ensure effective and accountable program delivery. My technical and programmatic experience spans clean energy, climate change resilience, economic empowerment, GESI, and early childhood development, with interventions across clean cooking, WASH, sustainable forest management, environmental management and restoration, livelihoods, poverty graduation, food and nutrition security, agriculture, irrigation, integrated watershed management, disaster risk management and humanitarian response (led preparedness and response to Cyclones Idai, Freddy, Ana, GOMBE and Jude), youth development, marketing cooperatives, school sponsorship and homegrown school feeding, crop insurance (weather index insurance), and social cash transfers, all targeting poor smallholder farmers. I have always aimed to reduce vulnerability, improve health and livelihoods, and accelerate low-carbon initiatives. In addition, I have supported program design and proposal development of 10 successful projects, cultivated strategic partnerships, engaged donors, and represented organizations at national and regional levels to advance governance and advocacy efforts across sectors. I am very conversant with implementation guidelines, reporting and MEAL needs, budget and safeguarding policies of the following donor: USAID, WFP, NCA-DCA JCP, Irish Aid, DFID, EU, AICS and DAI Global which can be applied in diverse workspaces.
