Mohamed Ihab Abdel Hamid

Mohamed Ihab Abdel Hamid is a Senior Investment Associate at Dar Ventures, the venture capital arm of Dar/Sidara, a global design and engineering consultancy, where he leads and supports investments in startups transforming the built environment across MENA, Europe and North America. He is also the founder of Capital Catalysts, a nonprofit initiative supporting early-stage startups in becoming investor-ready and securing funding. In recognition of his contributions to the entrepreneurial ecosystem, he was named to Africa’s 40 Under 40 list. Previously, Mohamed helped scale AUC Angels, MENA’s first university-based angel network, to become Egypt's most active network. He also spent a brief period working with the team at VC Lab, a Silicon Valley–based accelerator for emerging fund managers. Early in his career, he was selected into Unilever’s Future Leaders Program.
