Edouard Abayisenga

Edouard Abayisenga Cyuzuzo is the Managing Director of EarthEnable, bringing nearly eight years of leadership experience across research, quality assurance, field operations, and executive management. Trained as a civil engineer, Edouard combines strong technical expertise with practical operational leadership to scale affordable, durable, and healthy housing solutions across Rwanda.

Since joining EarthEnable in 2018, he has progressed through multiple roles—including R&D Associate, Quality Assurance Manager, District Manager, and Deputy Managing Director—gaining deep institutional knowledge and leading improvements in construction quality, operational efficiency, and regional delivery. As Managing Director, Edouard oversees national strategy, cross-functional teams, and execution, ensuring EarthEnable delivers quality housing solutions while maintaining strong community impact.

Edouard is passionate about innovation, quality at scale, and building systems that empower communities through better housing.

Facilitated the development of urunigi app and served over 1000 customers - making the business grow its turnover from <5K USD to >30K USD.

Assist the business owner in strategy setting and overtake the execution part of business activities.
Remarkable have closed and executed tenders with Office of the Prime Minister, Kigali City, Ministry of Education, etc.

Surveyed and analyzed the impact of proposed waste water treatment plant to be built at Giti cyinyoni (Nyarugenge)

Facilitate the sampling and analysis of soil for more significant public and private projects as an initial phase to control the quality of structures.

Served as site engineer on a variety of construction projects in Kigali city, northern province, western province and eastern province.
Remarkable projects: supervised the renovation of Ruhuha sector offices and consulted the renovation and extension of ruhuha market.
