Robert Kathinja

I’m Robert Kathinja, a geography graduate and founder of Rokaga Networks, a grassroots internet service provider working to connect underserved communities in Kenya. My interest in GIS and AI drives how I approach connectivity using spatial data and smart technologies to design internet solutions that are not only efficient but inclusive, affordable, and community-led. At Rokaga, we focus on student-friendly internet plans and public hotspot hubs, designed to empower youth, enable remote learning, and support small businesses in marginalized regions. My work is guided by the belief that digital access is essential to sustainable development, particularly in education, innovation, and economic opportunity. I'm passionate about leveraging tech to close the digital divide one connection at a time. I am always looking for opportunities that allow me to learn and be in spaces with smarter people than I am so that i can learn to innovate solutions that always advance humanity and human-centric environmental practices.
