Juabin Matey

I support the principal investigator in designing and refining the study, including contributing to research protocols, data collection instruments, and ethical approval documentation. I also provide technical guidance and supervision to junior research assistants, assign tasks, and ensure that all research activities meet agreed standards and timelines.
I oversee data collection processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and ethical compliance. This includes monitoring data quality, managing secure data storage, and maintaining confidentiality. I am responsible for cleaning, coding, and analysing data using appropriate qualitative or quantitative methods, and for interpreting preliminary findings.
I contribute to academic outputs by drafting sections of research reports, policy briefs, and manuscripts for publication. I also prepare presentations for seminars, conferences, and stakeholder engagements, and conduct comprehensive literature reviews to ensure that findings are grounded in current scholarship.
In addition, I handle key coordination and administrative tasks, such as tracking project progress, managing research documentation, liaising with collaborators and field teams, and supporting logistical and budgeting arrangements. Through these roles, I help ensure that the research is rigorous, well-organised, ethically sound, and completed within the required timeframe.
