The Aquaponics Project I am a part of as an executive, conducted by Engineers Without Borders South Africa University of Johannesburg Student Chapter (EWB-SA_UJ), is addressing operational issues and optimizing certain processes on the CEI aquaponics site at the University of Johannesburg.
The project aimed to stimulate the interest of engineering students to innovate solutions to decrease power costs associated with maintaining the optimal temperature of the fish tanks connected to the aquaponics system, and aside, automating the sieving process in the production of manure in traditional farming conducted at the Center of Ecoloical Intelligence the (CEI) site.
