I am an aspirational, young woman with intellectual depth, curiosity, and passion for sub Saharan Africa and her development. I have a sharp awareness of the nuances in ideologies and complex social issues, and I have a preference for conversations that challenge both myself and others to think critically. I am also an ambitious economics graduate with an interest in diplomacy, international law, and public policy. I am driven by a desire to engage in work that involves problem-solving on a global scale. I have a vision of contributing to systemic improvements, particularly in regions like Southern Africa, and I am dedicated to addressing issues like industrial output, climate change, and sustainable development. Intern- Project Management
October 2023 - June 2024
I was involved in strategic planning, where I developed and implemented strategic plans that aligned with the organization's mission and objectives. This included identifying opportunities for program growth and improvement.
I helped plan, execute, and evaluate programs and projects. For instance, I helped organize and manage a fun fair that created an environment for youth to interact with reproductive health vendors, gaining access to reproductive services and education. I also provided support in organizing a policy dialogue that brought together the Minister of Health and youth from around the country to discuss family planning policies, highlighting pitfalls in current reproductive policies and identifying areas for improvement. I ensured timely completion of these tasks while adhering to budget constraints. Additionally, I assisted in writing two grant proposals.
I collaborated closely with government agencies such as the Zambian Ministry of Health and Ministry of Youth and Sport, partner NGOs like Planned Parenthood, SAYWHAT, and Amplify Change, and other stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.
Moreover, I engaged with communities through various dialogues and interactions with beneficiaries to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into program design.
