Led mangrove restoration efforts, planting over 3,000 mangroves monthly while maintaining a 91% survival and health rate. Implemented an environmental education program in 20 schools across Kilifi County, planting 2,555 native trees from 97 species with an 80% success rate. Secured $5,000 from 1MYAC and $2,000 from a Social Impact Grant for marine conservation projects through proposal writing and grant applications. Partnered with Mombasa Cement and Mabati Rolling Mills to support projects through carbon credits. Supported economic development by collaborating with three Community-Based Organizations to collect tree seeds and manage nurseries, creating sustainable income opportunities and livelihoods.

Reviewed Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Audit Reports, conducted onsite inspections to ensure regulatory compliance of both developing and existing projects, and supported waste management licensing and environmental compliance enforcement. Contributed to the review of the Kilifi County Climate Change Act by providing technical input on adaptation frameworks and ensuring policy alignment with national climate goals.

Coordinated an emergency drought response initiative, leading efforts that delivered food and non-food items to over 10,000 households in Ganze and Bamba wards during the 2023 drought episode. Spearheaded the rehabilitation of irrigation schemes in Sabaki Ward, transitioning from diesel-powered to solar-powered pumps, enhancing climate resilience and improving agricultural productivity for 5,000 smallholder farmers. Developed and implemented a community-based flood early warning system, integrating real-time weather monitoring and community training, reducing flood-related emergencies by 40% through improved preparedness and response strategies. Ensured project and donor visibility through the use of appropriate communication media and tools.

Engaged in the Scope 1 & 2 carbon accreditation process for Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Moi International Airport (MIA), Eldoret International Airport (EIA), and Kisumu International Airport (KIA), contributing to their Level 1 (mapping) and Level 2 (reduction) certification under the Airport Carbon Accreditation program. Assisted in the development and implementation of sustainability frameworks and reporting tools, aligning with GRI, IR, and IFRS S1 & S2 standards. Conducted monthly environmental audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with national and international aviation sustainability regulations. Collected, analyzed, and wrote reports on GHG emissions data, contributing to strategic decision-making for carbon reduction initiatives.
