I'm Stella Kabasomi. I'm passionate about learning and exploring new opportunities. Academically, I've excelled in environmental studies and forestry, graduating with honors and actively participating in research projects. Professionally, I've achieved success in roles where I've applied my knowledge to address environmental challenges and promote sustainability. January 2022 - March 2024
Improved the education in underserved communities together with the district, school staffs, parents and other stake holders. Conducted surveys to assess the impact of educational programs (roots to rise) in underserved areas and equipped learners with basic numeracy and literacy. Trained 40 primary school teachers and over 150 community education volunteers on the basic numeracy and literacy skills to support the children in the different schools and communities. Enrolled over 400 out of school children in the different communities back to their neighbouring schools.

Supervised and upliftef the trained group of youth about the white meat value chain and aromatic plants. I supervised the different Village Entrepreneurship Learning Associations(VELAs) and upgraded them to parish level in Lwengo district. I ensured formation of agriclubs, saving associations and community engagement in the strengthening of the white meat value chain and participation in production of aromatic plants. I reported progress of the activities and carried out on a weekly and monthly basis. I organized monthly newsletters for the group and always posted the progress.
National Forestry Authority
Volunteer
January 2020 - June 2020
To work with the National Forestry Authority staff at district level in the various activities. Carried out community sensitization on natural resource conservation and raised tree seedlings for communities to participate in restoration planting. I patrolled around Bugoma Central Forest Reserve to protect it from destruction activities by the neighboring communities.
