1. Clinical Expertise:

Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in various radiographic procedures, including general radiography, mobile and fixed radiography, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, and specialized procedures such as IVU, HSG, RCUG, and MCUG. Ensure the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients, adhering to the highest standards of patient care.

2. Patient Care and Communication:

Establish and maintain effective communication with patients, ensuring a comfortable and informed experience throughout the radiographic procedures. Assess patients and their clinical requirements to determine the appropriate radiographic techniques, taking into consideration the physical and psychological needs of each individual.

3. Radiation Safety and Quality Assurance:

Take responsibility for radiation safety within your work area, conducting regular checks on equipment to identify and address malfunctions or errors promptly. Manage referrals efficiently to minimize radiation exposure, ensuring adherence to ALARP principles and ionizing radiation regulations.

4. Supervision and Leadership:

Provide supervision and leadership to radiography and imaging support assistants, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment. Assist in the training and development of junior staff, including student radiographers, interns, and other healthcare professionals.

5. Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals:

Collaborate with medical professionals such as radiologists and surgeons in more complex radiological examinations, contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Maintain effective communication with visiting staff and patients within radiation work areas.

6. Continuous Professional Development:

Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development by staying updated with the latest health and safety guidelines, technological advancements, and best practices in radiography. Engage in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

7. Administrative Duties:

Oversee administrative responsibilities, including the coordination of intern seminars, presentations, and the implementation of duty roster models. Act as an assistant secretary general in relevant professional organizations, representing the Radiography department in hospital-wide presentations.
