We are seeking a Sr Manager, Business Strategy & Integration (Military Programs) to serve as the vital link for the Lakota Contracted Logistics Services (CLS) program. This isn't just a role for someone who follows a script; it’s a position for a decisive strategist with the discretionary authority to turn multi-million dollar business opportunities into operational reality.
In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between long-term growth and daily execution. You will spend your days navigating the complex aerospace landscape—liaising between Airbus enterprise teams (MRO, Supply Chain, and Procurement) and our Military customers to ensure every proposal is not just won, but seamlessly integrated into the Lakota program’s lifecycle.

Your working environment:

Your Challenges:
New Business Opportunities, Proposal Development & Award Implementation: 40%
Collaborate with internal departments such as Technical Support, Configuration Management, Contracts, Programs, CLS, Production, Pricing Programs, Finance, Marketing and Customer Service, along with external partners, suppliers and allies, in the development and implementation of Lakota CLS operational strategies, plans and business models. Resolve internal conflicts.
Serve as program lead for contract negotiations with Military customers
Ensure coherency across the entire business acquisition process, from opportunity identification to bid & proposal to final signature
Manage relationships with various customers, prospects, customer entities, and partners in the aerospace environment.
Lead team in establishing strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service and operations information; identify and evaluate trends and options.
Provide input to the management team on new product or service features to be developed to meet current and future customer needs. Includes analyzing market strategies, business requirements and financials.
Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; establishing customer needs and requirements.
Provide support to senior management in opportunity identification, negotiations, contract development, due diligence, and other business development projects.
Assist proposal development and bids for appropriate opportunities. Works closely with internal departments in the design and creation of innovative proposals and opportunities for support.
Lakota TBO Readiness / Integration: 40%
Serve as program lead for interfacing with the customer on planned TBO’s; attend weekly LRR meetings, PMR’s, etc. as it relates to TBO discussions.
Liaison with MRO facilities to ensure production capabilities are in place. Ensure quantity demands are known / harmonized with all affected parties and risks to contract performance are known / communicated.
Liaison with forecast analysis (AHI & AH) to ensure all TBO projections are captured.
Project Management: 20%
Responsible for managing and coordinating Lakota projects as it relates to CLS Support
Responsible for managing other strategic Lakota Program projects as required.
Define Project need as required (Internally / Externally)
Define schedule and major milestones.
Track successful on-time / on –budget completion of all milestones
Your Boarding Pass:
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience (4 years)
Five (5) years of successful experience working in a logistics support capacity for a helicopter manufacturer or a defense contractor.
Experience in and knowledge of U.S. government interagency policy making and budget allocation
Ability to effectively work within a matrix organization; ability to effectively work at remote sites

Preferred Education/Skills:
Degree in business and / or engineering
Master’s degree
Direct Military customer experience
Certification in Program Management (or school / work experience equivalent)
Travel Required:
40% Domestic and International
Citizenship:
US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
Clearance:
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Common Access Card (CAC)

Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily

Equipment Operation: able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment. Daily
Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs/5kgs. Daily
Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs/5kgs. Daily
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Rarely
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. Daily
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Infrequently
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Daily
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Approximately 5% - 10%
Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily
PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
