Hi, I'm Mrunal Mahajan!
Software Engineer Co-op at Philips Healthcare
I am currently pursuing a Master's in Information Systems at Northeastern University, maintaining a strong GPA of 3.7 out of 4, and am set to graduate in December 2023. In my recent role as a Software Engineering Co-op at Philips Healthcare, I demonstrated a transformative impact by migrating authentication to Docker containers, restructuring a monolithic application into microservices, and optimizing deployments on AWS using Kubernetes and Terraform. I also streamlined workflows with GitHub and Helm charts, significantly reducing operational overhead. While leveraging my prior roles at Infosys Ltd. as a Systems Engineer, where I automated testing processes and managed project requirements, and my experience at 3RI Technologies as an AWS Developer Intern, deploying cloud-native applications and implementing Blue-Green deployments, combined with my academic foundation, equips me to contribute innovative solutions and technical expertise.

• Migrated authentication to docker container from GitHub secrets to Open ID Connect for authentication with AWS instances by token generation and adding AWS IAM roles • Refactored the component of monolith application by creating two microservices of which the Producer microservice produces and sends a Kafka topic and messages which will be consumed by a consumer microservice • Migrated creation of Virtual Machines (VMs) from Nutanix Platform to deploy services on K3s Kubernetes cluster in cloud environment using Terraform on AWS EC2, further shifting the authentication from username & passwords to secrets stored in AWS Secrets Manager • Updated the GitHub workflows to destroy the created EC2 instances once the pull request gets closed, after downloading all the artifacts in the respective repository • Transitioned the deployment of services from Docker to Helm charts. Created a script to install Helm which reduces the amount of effort by 85% to manually create and maintain complex configuration files for deployment • Build and maintained Docker container clusters managed by Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Workflows, Bash, Shell script to build and deploy using the CI/CD for runtime environment • Implemented a scheduled GitHub workflow using cron job to monitor each component and microservice repository for identifying and defining a way to fix flaky tests
Infosys Ltd.

• Worked on a project for 'Aetna'/’CVS’ Client’s Portal which provide healthcare facilities • Automated 100% of functional and performance test cases using selenium for the CICD pipeline as a Quality Analyst • Implemented microservices API testing using tools like Postman, SOAP UI. Also tracked and managed defects and Sprints using management tools such as RTC, RQM and monitored, analyzed the logs using Splunk • Conducted Integration testing for all modules and created automation scripts in SOAP UI for web services testing • Executed project requirements and bugs fix while closely interacting with client in scrum calls
3RI Technologies
