Employment through Technology and Innovation (ETI)

The ETI project was launched to increase employment and income-generating opportunities—particularly for youth—in disadvantaged areas across Egypt. Generously funded through several grants by Hands Along the Nile Development Services (HANDS) and the American government, and implemented through a multi-partnership model with One Global Economy (OGE) and SoukTel, the project leveraged the power of information and communication technology (ICT) to drive economic empowerment. ETI provided targeted training, technical support, job matching services, and access to financing for individuals, entrepreneurs, and small business owners—helping bridge the gap between potential and opportunity in underserved communities.

Funded through several generous grants by TOMS Shoes Inc., The Footprint Project is a transformative initiative aimed at distributing 1000+ pairs of shoes to underprivileged children. Beyond providing essential footwear, the project empowers children by educating them about their basic rights—promoting dignity, protection, and self-worth. Through every pair given, The Footprint Project walks with children toward a healthier, safer, and more informed future.

Young Enterpreneur Training and Exchange Projects (YEP)

The YEP project was designed to empower young entrepreneurs in both Egypt and the United States through cross-cultural learning and targeted business training. Generously funded through multiple grants by Hands Along the Nile Development Services (HANDS) and the American government, the project was implemented through a dynamic multi-partnership model involving organizations in both countries. YEP provided general and localized training in small business development and management, alongside entrepreneurial exchange programs, fostering innovation, mutual understanding, and economic opportunity across borders.

Professional Exchange Program (PFP), Egypt Chapter

With generous grants from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Professional Exchange Program (PFP) was implemented by various NGOs to empower NGO leaders and professionals from Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and the U.S. The program specifically focused on strengthening organizations working in women’s empowerment and disability inclusion.

As part of the exchange, two visits took place in the United States, while two additional visits were conducted across Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt

From Farm to Fork

improving food security for both small scale farmers and consumers in three governorates in Egypt

The project trained 1000+ of farmers in 5 years to improve their farming techniques (practicing clean agriculture) by encouraging and promoting the use of composting and manure, and discouraging / eliminating the use of chemical fertilizers, integrated pest management, introduction of new crops and varieties and better crop rotation. 1000+ women farmers and youth were trained in small initiatives related to value addition at farm level and creating farming related small businesses and sorting packaging and conservation that create employment and extra income.
The project helped to better organize the farmers in a number of Farmers’ Cooperatives (FC) and village and governorate level. These FCs grew into strong independent organizations with management capacity and collective bargaining power to make and fulfill contracts with traders and processing industries.

And Still We Rise (ASWR) Program, MENA Chapter

And Still We Rise (ASWR) Program, through its MENA chapter, was initiated as a women’s empowerment program to amplify the voices and experiences of Middle Eastern women dedicated to fostering sustained solutions for community-based challenges through their involvement in reconciliation and peacebuilding efforts. And Still We Rise was initiated by Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP). The program was funded by several donors.

As part of the World Impact Network and a scout for 15+ venture capital funds, I’m launching this initiative to support early-stage, impact-driven startup founders who are actively seeking funding.
Through this initiative, I will match 3 promising female founders with aligned VC funds from my network—helping them secure introductions, refine their pitch decks, and navigate the fundraising process. The goal is not just to raise capital, but to ensure founders connect with mission-aligned investors who can support their long-term vision.
This initiative is open to founders across sectors with scalable solutions that contribute to meaningful social or environmental change.
