Mohammed Kousa

Hello I am Kousa, I enjoy both the technical and social aspects of science. I initiated a startup as a meterials specialist with some friends in college to create a safety mechanism for overhead electric power lines. I learned a lot in the optimization and material selection process. I lead a project design and manufacturing process for a wasteless whiteboard. The process was very enriching in the brainstorming and decision making for where should the project go and what are the priorities. I am also very curious about to what extent we can push science as I published a scientific paper in ACS Publications along with a graduate student. In the research, the nano diamonds enhanced nanofibers were investigated as a part of battery separators. Furthermore, being part of a good community and environment is important. Thus me and 2 Saudi students started the first Saudi Student association in our university. The club had 8 members in the first year and now it has 25 members. In my free time I enjoy talking to people and learning more about their ways of thinking and cultures. Everyone has a story and I love to listen to it.
