Investigating Inheritance of Borrelia Infection Susceptibility: A Study of White-footed Deer Mice in Michigan's Lower Peninsula
•https://drive.google.com/file/d/18bB_qgnMTfqM-iphDDmDdWkfRsQdMrhc/view?usp=sharingStudent Investigator
The study examines the genetic and demographic factors influencing the susceptibility of white-footed mice (Peromyscus leucopus) to Borrelia burgdorferi, the causative agent of Lyme disease. We focused on populations in Michigan's Lower Peninsula, particularly in Benzie and Manistee Counties, where the transition zone between the presence and absence of Lyme Disease has been demonstrated.
