(a) Relationship Manager: 2010 till date.
I am currently a Relationship Manager and have worked in various capacities and with various units in this role including the following;
Agricultural Finance Department with responsibility over agriculture portfolios in the Volta region of Ghana from November 2010 to August 2016. I managed various portfolios along the agricultural value chain. These included poultry and livestock, crops and vegetables, aquaculture, economic trees, agricultural marketing, agro-processing, and equipment financing.
Juapong branch with responsibility for helping grow the deposit base and manage corporate and SME credit-related matters from September 2016 to March 2017. The branch has had a sustainable turnaround in profitability.
Gulf House branch with responsibility over some key portfolios. Deposit growth, superior customer service and healthy portfolio management are some of the key duties since April 2017 to March 2019. The effect of my contributions to a non-performing branch yielded positive outcome and turned it to a profit making branch
I am current a Senior Relationship Manager with the Commercial Department with responsibilities over different key and complex accounts such as B5 Plus Ltd, Unicom Chemist Ltd, AI Energy Group etc.
Some key competencies acquired in these roles include;
- Strong credit analysis and appraisal skills with a risk mitigation ability
- Managing micro businesses to grow and transit into SMEs and large corporates
- Effective customer relationship management, especially managing difficult customers.
