Coordinating teams to conduct lab testing activities such as test item handling, interpretation and application of the appropriate test methodology, use of different testing equipment to collect data, data analysis using company tools such as sensors and Data acquisition (DAQ), and reporting of findings as per the company's quality system to test EPCs, induction cookers, DC and AC mills, solar powered egg incubators, solar water pumps and solar powered refrigeration systems. Project lead for designing, installation, repair and maintenance of solar systems and related products in Turkana and other areas in Kenya. Led a team to conducted two in-depth study on technical, social, and economic aspects of solar dryers in western Kenya in partnership with Bountifield International. In partnership with Brunel University, I was the project lead for the market study of the Customized Solar Dryers for Horticulture (CuSP), project funded by Innovate UK where the outcomes of the study were presented in a conference held on 30th March 2023 in Nairobi. Collaborating product development process by conducting performance, usability, safety, and accessibility testing to inform product iteration and learning cycle of emerging sustainable technologies for companies such as Impact Pumps, Future Pump, Agsol, and Village Infrastructure Angels. Team lead for the Turkana branch, project supported by KKCF/EACF: occasionally travels to train and guide staff with the goal of building technical capacity that can enable them to meet our customer’s expectations by offering technical and after-sale support services of solar products and components to the local community. Conduct desktop research and gathering information on how to improve internal quality management systems. Identifying sites and collaborating with end users to gather information for product development activities. Coordinate data collection exercise, compile and analyze these data based on mathematical models to inform decision making in the product development process of clean energy technologies. Coached and mentored 2 staff members through the company’s orientation program to understand and blend into the company’s culture while delivering on their mandates. Developing, and maintaining equipment’s maintenance and calibration schedules while also, coordinating activities of the actual maintenance and calibration of the company’s equipment Management of technical records, logs, and documents by use of project management tools such as Google Workspace, Excel, CRM HubSpot, Airtable and Drop Box. Training of end-users on how to handle, operate and take care of solar water pumps, Solar powered egg incubator, and a mill. Led a team of 6 technicians to interpret technical drawings, plan and install 2 solar powered subversive water pumps in Kitui County.

Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Solar Powered Pumps Kisumu, Busia, Kakamega, Siaya, and Homabay counties. Endurance testing of the SF1, SF2 and SE Future Pump solar water pump on the test rig. Data analysis of installed products in the field. Site surveys for installations of solar water pumps in Western Kenya. Installing, calibrating, debugging and maintaining of sensors and loggers used for monitoring of solar water pump performance and customer’s PAYG model. Commissioning of solar pump installations Training sessions of solar pumps distributors in Kisumu, Busia, Kakamega, Siaya, Homabay counties. Facilitating deal closer between the sales desk and clients by doing site surveys and providing accurate information. Doing system sizing and designing from information collected from site survey. Installation of solar powered systems such as solar water pumps, small home systems, large home systems up to 3.2 kWp solar powered home lighting system. Handling service cases from clients and advising them on how best they can maintain and use our systems efficiently. Management of branch technical related duties such as writing reports, doing repairs, and also standing in for the branch manager when requested. Established Solarnow, Kapenguria as the pioneer branch technician to achieve the productivity target.

Performed site survey and planning of work from projects brought in by the sales desk. Carrying out installations and repair of electrical equipment and components. Installation of prepaid meter to clients mostly in Kisumu, Siaya and Vihiga counties.

Gained knowledge and working experience in distillery plant, alcohol fermentation plant, waste management and treatment plant, biogas technology, writing of work reports and general machine operations. Formed part of the team that was responsible for reviving Biogas bio digester, safer emptying the vessels and to do maintenance and repairs. I contributed majorly through research work.
