Supported prudent public finance management and helped build accountability through the Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) in line with the Public Finance Management Act (2012). Received and posted Authority to Incur Expenditures (AIE) in the computer from various government ministries/departments. Received and recorded vouchers from various government ministries/departments with all supporting documents in the movement registers. Examined vouchers to ascertain their validation, correctness and compliance with the Public Finance Management Act. Regulated the ministries/department’s expenditure through the District Votebook Management System (DVMS). Forwarded the examined vouchers to the District Accountant for authorization of quoted payment. Received vouchers, wrote cheques and recorded them in the respective cash books. Reconciled the cashbook and bank statements to ensure the entries in the cashbook and the entries in the bank are the same. Facilitated document sorting, storage and archiving. Prepared and submitted monthly financial reports/returns to respective accounting officers.

Targeted identified boys and girls in form 2 and their parents living in Korogocho. Assisted them with both hard(educational) and soft(life) skills. Provided career awareness/development through motivational talks and exposure visits. Engaged with parents to come up with ways of supporting the mentees.
