Provide professional Development to a large team of teachers Manage the resources of the department within the limits of the delegated budget and in accordance with the school’s financial procedures. Ensure that appropriate performance management arrangements are in place and maintained in the department and that a robust program of professional development is designed and maintained. Responsible for the selection of textbooks and teaching materials, and the methods of teaching used by members of the Department. Review examination results within the Department and implement remedial action when necessary. Ensure that base-line data is being used to monitor, and where possible improve, performance of the Department and the pupils within it
