About the role

Description

We are looking for a Senior Lead - Warehouse (Forward and Reverse Logistics) to join our Warehouse & Logistics team in Nairobi as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.

As our Senior Lead, Warehouse (Forward and Reverse Logistics), you will be responsible for overseeing both forward and reverse logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate shipping of products to customers and retail outlets, as well as managing the comprehensive return process. You will lead warehouse and reverse logistics operations with precision, coordinate cross-departmental initiatives, manage inventory efficiently, and maintain exceptional operational standards that drive business success.

By implementing robust standard operating procedures, fostering team excellence, and leveraging data-driven insights, you will enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen our organization's supply chain capabilities.

About Us

In this role, you will be at the forefront of transforming our warehouse operations and logistics efficiency. Your primary focus will be onplanning and coordinating daily outbound logistics activities while ensuring the timely and accurate shipment of products to meet customer demands. You will monitor and manage inventory levels strategically, ensuring optimal product availability for seamless shipment operations.

Working closely with production, quality control, warehouse, and retail teams, you will streamline processes and resolve operational challenges while overseeing the complete reverse logistics process, including returns, inspection, refurbishment, and restocking activities. You will implement and maintain comprehensive procedures for handling returns and exchanges, ensuring full compliance with company policies while maximizing customer satisfaction.

Your leadership skills will be essential as you supervise and guide a dedicated team of warehouse and reverse logistics officers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of orders while maintaining rigorous inventory management standards and full compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

This is an on-site role based in our Nairobi warehouse facility, where you will collaborate with diverse teams across multiple departments and locations. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager- Warehouse & Logistics while leading Warehouse Officers and Reverse Logistics Officers in delivering operational excellence.

Expertise

We are looking for an experienced professional who can implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for both outbound and reverse logistics operations while preparing and presenting comprehensive reports and dashboards on performance metrics.

You should have a Diploma in supply chain or a relevant field, with a degree being an added advantage, combined with 3-5 years of work experience in warehouse, inventory management, or supply chain environments, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will be crucial for effective collaboration with various departments and stakeholders, while your exceptional organizational and planning abilities with attention to detail will ensure operational success. Technical proficiency in spreadsheet and data processing tools like Excel and Dynamics 365 is essential, along with strong problem-solving and arithmetic skills.

Being self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively in an agile environment with changing priorities is fundamental to this role. Your exceptional work ethic and integrity, combined with numerical accuracy and attention to detail, will be the foundation of your success.
