What you’ll do
As the first product manager in Brazil, you have the unique opportunity to shape Airwallex’s expansion effort in Brazil, one of our priority growth markets. You will play a key role in localizing and launching our innovative payment, treasury, and issuing products in Brazil. You will partner closely with local regulators, external partners, and cross functional Airwallex teams including but not limited to Product, Engineering, Commercial, Legal & Compliance, and Operations. This is a high impact role and your work will directly impact how Brazilian customers experience Airwallex solutions.
This role is based in São Paulo, Brazil.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for leading local launches across the Airwallex product suite:
Orchestrate cross-functional efforts to launch our global treasury and payment network, payment acquiring, issuing, and spend management products in Brazil, in compliance with local regulatory requirements
Coordinate integration with central bank financial infrastructure, including PIX and other key systems, as well as local banks, PSPs, and fintech networks to enable seamless transactions
Act as the Brazil voice of customers and partner with global Engineering and Product teams to define, prioritize, and identify innovative solutions to deliver localized features
Monitor performance and drive iteration, using local market feedback, usage data, and competitive benchmarks to refine the Brazilian product experience and enhance product-market fit
Inform LATAM product roadmap and strategy by deeply understanding the latest developments and local trends, target markets, and competitive landscape
Who you are
We’re looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.
Minimum qualifications:
5+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Hands-on experience with wallet, payments acquiring or issuing products
Strong project management skills to align stakeholders across technical and non-technical audience, and coordinate multiple complex workstreams
Bachelor’s degree or above in a technical field (engineering or computer science coursework) with a competitive GPA
Fluency in English and Portuguese
Preferred qualifications:
Strong ownership mindset and execution skills, ability to be scrappy
2-3 years of direct experience in a dedicated product management role in a fintech company
Working knowledge of digital wallet, card networks, card issuance, and the underlying payment infrastructure
Solid technical understanding and ability to engage in architectural discussions with engineering teams
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey product design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience working in cross-cultural and cross-functional teams
