About the role
Calling all wordsmiths and storytellers out there! Careem is looking for a talented, hands-on and creative Copywriter to join our in-house agency - The Creative Studio. As part of your job, you’ll be responsible for crafting short and long-form copy, come up with creative ideas, lead small and large-scale projects, and more importantly be the brand guardian, shaping the voice of Careem in Arabic. We’re looking for someone with experience in taking briefs and turning them into crafted, powerful messaging that drives impact.
What you'll do
- Write, write, write. You'll be writing short and long-form copies every day.
- Elevate the Careem brand and ensure consistency in our TOV across all channels.
- Translate, transcreate and proofread.
- Collaborate with your creative colleagues on various assigned briefs.
- Work closely with key stakeholders across the entire org to create content that aligns with the brief objectives & tone of voice.
What you'll need
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Arabic language fluency and mastery, specifically the ability to write MSA and White Arabic.
- A writing portfolio.
- Sharp, creative copywriting skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Proven ability to successfully develop and execute multi-channel content copies.
- A knack for brainstorming- Independent, proactive and critical thinking skills.
- Being able to juggle multiple projects, a significant workload and tight deadlines.
- An effective communicator with the ability to work individually as well as in a team.
