About the role
Description
As part of BESIX Invest, BESIX Power is an impactful player in the renewable energy sector by developing, acquiring and financing renewable projects across selected European markets such as Belgium, France, Italy, Poland and Greece. We develop, finance, build and operate renewable electricity generation facilities with a solid ecosystem of domestic and international partners.
In the context of its growing activities abroad, BESIX Power is looking for a new M&A Associate – Renewable Investment to complement its team.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of the strategic growth journey of BESIX Power abroad. You will play a key role in shaping and executing the M&A strategy, contributing to deal sourcing, financial analysis, and transaction execution. In parallel, you will support the team with project coordination and performance tracking, ensuring alignment with executive stakeholders and strategic goals.
- Buy-side M&A: Support end-to-end M&A transaction processes including screening and identification of M&A opportunities , valuation models, participations in acquisition processes and negotiations, participate in financial due diligence, and executing acquisitions that align with the long-term strategy of BESIX Power.
- Modelling: Building, reviewing and maintaining financial models, developing business cases for new markets; maintaining internal databases.
- Financing: Assessing, structuring and negotiating acquisition financings, project financings and shareholder financings.
- Analysis and monitoring: analyzing financial and operational data.
- Support: portfolio monitoring and financial reporting including preparation of executive-level presentations, investment memos, and reports for internal and external stakeholders

Other requirements
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, other forms of M&A advisory, project finance, valuation, ideally with exposure and/or strong interest for renewable energy and energy transition.
- Strong financial modelling skills and an understanding of project and corporate finance.
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage work under pressure in a collaborative environment.
- Proactive and self driven.
- Comfortable to an entrepreneurial setting with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in English. Any other language is a plus.
