Job Description

The Traffic Manager / Road Diversion is responsible for developing and implementing road diversion schemes and traffic management plans for construction works for the pipeline project.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate with site team, permit manager to contact the traffic authorities and contractors to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow during diversions and closure
  • Coordinate with the permit manager to manage permits and liaise with local.
  • Review and optimize methods of traffic diversion, monitoring compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
  • Prepare method statements, risk assessments and traffic detour drawings; ensure materials, labour and plant are correctly planned for diversion works.
  • Manage permits and liaise with local authorities, law enforcement, utility companies and public stakeholders.
  • Track progress, report on diversion operations, cost‑control and improvement opportunities.

What you will need to have:

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in traffic management, roadworks or method engineering in construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic diversion design/implementation, temporary traffic control, and related regulatory standards.
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate and supervise diversion operations and traffic management activities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑liaison skills.
  • Proactive, methodical, capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
