The Traffic Manager / Road Diversion is responsible for developing and implementing road diversion schemes and traffic management plans for construction works for the pipeline project.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with site team, permit manager to contact the traffic authorities and contractors to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow during diversions and closure
- Coordinate with the permit manager to manage permits and liaise with local.
- Review and optimize methods of traffic diversion, monitoring compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments and traffic detour drawings; ensure materials, labour and plant are correctly planned for diversion works.
- Manage permits and liaise with local authorities, law enforcement, utility companies and public stakeholders.
- Track progress, report on diversion operations, cost‑control and improvement opportunities.
What you will need to have:
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in traffic management, roadworks or method engineering in construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of traffic diversion design/implementation, temporary traffic control, and related regulatory standards.
- Proven ability to plan, coordinate and supervise diversion operations and traffic management activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑liaison skills.
- Proactive, methodical, capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
