Aaleen is a venture capitalist at Toronto based fund, Two Small Fish Ventures. She is a social entrepreneur who established Atlantic Canada’s first multi-faceted mental health youth center in 2014. After graduating from her Pre-Medicine Bachelor’s program, Aaleen immersed herself in the startup ecosystem. With a passion for medtech investing, she secured an internship at one of Canada’s largest precision medicine and biotech VC firms, Amplitude Ventures, where she drafted a thesis defining report on the emerging space of digital therapeutics and participated in the IPO of Repare Therapeutics in the Summer of 2020. She joined Two Small Fish Ventures in 2021 as an Analyst and leads the company's health tech, femtech, edtech, sustainability tech, social media, and fashion tech portfolios. Aaleen is passionate about entrepreneurship, biotech, racial equity in the VC ecosystem, mental health advocacy, and good cups of coffee.
