Joined a team of engineers responsible for evaluating technical aspects of renewable energy investments and monitoring existing wind, solar, and battery storage projects.

Key Responsibilities and Achievements:

• Conducted in-depth research on emerging technology trends, materials, manufacturing processes, construction methods, and supply chain practices, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
• Assisted in the diligence process for new renewable energy projects, including active project construction monitoring, technology reviews, and feasibility assessments.
• Contributed to data-driven monitoring of the renewables portfolio by performing data analysis, visualization, and reporting tasks using tools such as Python, MySQL, and Tableau.
• Gained exposure to diverse technologies, including wind, solar, gas, and energy storage, while actively participating in various phases of projects, from development to maintenance.
• Developed a holistic understanding of infrastructure project development, financing, construction, operation, and asset management within the energy industry.

Led the Northeastern Solar District Cup Development team in NREL competition hosted by US Department of Energy

Implemented energy-efficient projects using waste heat and byproducts from stainless steel production to generate power and reduce energy consumption. Recognized with 'Star Reward' for dedication to cost-effective and sustainable projects
Project: POWER GENERATION FROM HOT FLUE GASES
• Developed a Techno-commercial report on generating 4 MW of power using flue gases at 1100°C at Steel Melting Shops. Heated molten salt to 400°C and produced super-heated steam for a Condensing Turbine, resulting in $2M in annual savings
Project: WASTE HEAT RECOVERY FROM HOT MOLTEN SLAG
• Engineered the use of Molten Slag from SMS furnaces (EAF, AOD) to pre-heat stainless steel scrap to 400°C via Dry Slag Granulation process. Anticipated cost savings of $2.7M by 18% power reduction at EAF and a 7-minute less EAF cycle time
Project: HIGH-LEVEL OXYGEN LANCING FOR FUEL SAVING AT REHEATING FURNACE
• Implemented the REBOX® HLL Oxygen Lancing System for fuel savings at JSL’s Reheating Furnace, improving thermal efficiency in collaboration with Linde India. Resulted in $0.5M annual savings from a 15% decrease in fuel consumption

Project: EMULSIFIED FUEL OIL-EFO AT REHEATING FURNACE
• Collaborated with a Japanese team from Nanomizer Inc. on the production of EFO using Nano Emulsion Fuel System, by mixing 75% LSHS and 25% water at high pressure. Improved combustion efficiency and achieved 17% fuel savings

Project: OPTIMIZING ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF COMMERCIAL BUILDING (Mentored by Prof. Pradeep Kumar)
• Constructed a 3-D model of commercial building using Sketchup Pro, conducted energy analysis using EnergyPlus and Open-Studio, and achieved 16% efficiency improvement by implementing a VAV-HVAC system and elevated setpoint temperature
