Katya Michelle Aguilar Perez

I am an enthusiastic graduate student in Chemistry. I have research experience in applied nanomaterials. I am interested in the design and fabrication of smart hybrid nanomaterials, as well as their performance in precision agriculture, bio-fortification, and food systems. I believe that there is a strong need to improve the way we communicate science; one of my greatest ambitions is to become an academic Professor because I enjoy mentoring and teaching students who want to learn and understand how the world works at the nanoscale. In Mexico, I was awarded prizes for outstanding young scientists and had my early research work published in several international research journals. I have strong communication skills and enjoy working in groups, especially when developing new projects.
