ALX Virtual Assistant Mentorship Lead en ALX Africa
Hi, I'm Vincent Rendani Mukhuba — a founder, mentor, and community builder passionate about connecting talent, technology, and opportunity across Africa. Right now, I lead mentorship for the Virtual Assistant program at ALX South Africa, where I support students through weekly sessions, one-on-one guidance, and custom mentorship frameworks to help them stay on track and graduate confidently. This work has contributed to higher retention and completion rates, and I’ve been recognized as an ALX Community Champion for my role in building a strong, engaged learning community. I’m also the Founder and CEO of Bidder Technologies Inc., an e-hailing startup focused on transforming urban mobility, and the founder of Talent Pathways Africa, a platform designed to help student alumni transition into the workforce through job clinics, pitch training, and portfolio development. In addition to mentorship and entrepreneurship, I have solid customer experience skills from my time working as a Remote Call Center Representative. In that role, I handled both inbound and outbound calls, supported customers with technical and service-related issues, and contributed to marketing and sales campaigns. It taught me how to listen actively, solve problems quickly, and represent a brand with professionalism — skills I now apply across all my projects. My background also includes working as an Outreach and Recruitment Intern at the African Leadership University (ALU) and serving as an Alumni Affairs Mentor, where I supported students navigating their next steps after graduation. I'm a lifelong learner, having completed certifications in Bioinformatics from Stanford School of Medicine, Advanced Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Financial Risk Analytics, and more. I specialize in: Virtual Assistance & Customer Support Digital Marketing & Community Engagement Cybersecurity, Bioinformatics & Data Science Operations, Mentorship & Talent Development

ALX Africa
ALX Virtual Assistant Mentorship Lead
July 2024 - December 2024
As the Virtual Assistant Mentorship Lead at ALX South Africa, I’ve been responsible for guiding and supporting hundreds of students as they navigate the ALX VA program. My role is all about making sure learners don’t just start the program — they stay engaged, grow, and finish strong.
I host weekly group mentorship sessions, offer tailored one-on-one check-ins, and design resources that help students hit key milestones like portfolio building, job readiness, and client engagement. I also collaborate with ALX staff and community leads to improve retention, drive fellowship pod participation, and increase traffic to our local hub.
My mentorship approach focuses on practical support, career alignment, and confidence-building. I’ve helped students land volunteer roles, secure freelance gigs, and prepare for interviews — while identifying and developing standout talent to join my initiatives, such as Talent Pathways Africa.

Outreach and recruitment
September 2023 - June 2024
As an Outreach and Recruitment Intern at the African Leadership University (ALU), I had the opportunity to represent one of Africa’s most innovative institutions. My role involved connecting with prospective students, sharing ALU’s unique value, and guiding them through the application journey.
I engaged directly with high school students, parents, and community partners — both online and at events — to promote ALU's mission of developing ethical and entrepreneurial African leaders. I also collaborated with internal teams to organize info sessions, build outreach strategies, and manage communication pipelines.
That experience strengthened my public speaking, interpersonal, and marketing skills — and gave me a deeper understanding of what it means to inspire young people to take charge of their future. It’s also where I learned how to listen, lead with authenticity, and communicate impact in a way that moves people to action.
