Manage the team to follow up suppliers on order delivery, getting bookings, delivery schedules

Checking report accuracy and extracting reports for goods in transit and bank approval
Lead time analysis for each step-in import process and putting in place improvement suggestions to reduce lead time
Provide landed cost for items as requested, including sea or air and land freight costs
Leading and providing input to the project team regarding customs and bank procedures
Putting in place SOP to handle project shipments and show how to coordinate with different departments to achieve our targets
Liaison with clearing agents, freight forwarders, governmental offices in support of getting our orders on time and in full

Work closely with our customer Ethio Telecom logistics team and assist them with providing all the necessary documents for shipment clearance
Facilitate with the supplier, which is the parent company of our office based in China, on providing additional information regarding the items like different specifications
Provide daily report for my line manager on the status of the shipment clearance
Responsible for customs clearance for shipments sent for our office
Ensure shipments are delivered on time to avoid any extra charge of storage and penalties

Overseeing the entire Import process starting from securing bank approvals to shipment delivery on site
Ensure operations are run within KPI parameters and develop/maintain relevant key performance indicator reporting tools
Regular review of process and procedures and implementation of improvement strategies with P&CI team (Process and control improvement) on import processes
Ensure all delivery, duty and VAT charges are invoiced correctly
Ensure all documentation complies with current legislation
Provide advice on processes and procedures in relation to import compliance
Liaison with external suppliers and freight forwarders
Effectively communicate change and business updates to the organization
Communicate and follow up with suppliers on order placement and delivery
Develop inter-departmental communication and work with Senior management team
Weekly alignment meetings with all stakeholders to prioritize orders and discuss on orders status update

Creating purchase orders via system (Microsoft Dynamics ERP) for services provided by different suppliers/vendors requested by internal stakeholders
Follow up with financial controllers for the approval and provide the final purchase order as per the requirement of banks for import purchases

In charge of planning material based on requirement plan of the user department and procurement
Designed material requirement tracking tool
Report monthly actual consumption and deviation from plans
Follow up on time delivery of orders to site
Took the initiative to implement 5’s in the storeroom

Responsible in overseeing the entire planning and export process

Taking weekly customer order from a system known as PAT Plant administrative trade (sales order tracking) and plot cutting production plan
