Head of Product, Lending Platform | M-KOPA
Power the Financial Engine Behind $1.5 Billion in Life-Changing Credit. Imagine leveraging your product leadership to build the infrastructure that has already unlocked progress for millions across Africa. As M-KOPA's Head of Product for our Lending Platform, you'll drive the product strategy and execution behind the systems that have originated over 6 million loans across five African markets.
This isn't just another product role. You'll drive the evolution of lending systems, analytics, and data science models that reveal critical insights into credit performance and unit economics. Your work will directly enable M-KOPA’s ability to attract hundreds of millions of dollars in debt capital, that ultimately enables the company to build transformative financial products for customers traditionally excluded from mainstream banking.
In this role, you'll collaborate with Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, Credit, and Finance teams, translating complex financial requirements into elegant platform solutions. You'll lead product managers who are passionate about using technology to solve real financial inclusion challenges. Together, you'll ensure our loan management, billing, and accounting systems meet international financial reporting standards and are compliant with local regulations.
Your experience with financial services products or platform solutions serving B2B clients will find purpose here beyond conventional metrics. You'll see how the lending infrastructure you oversee enables a small business owner to expand, a family to purchase their first smartphone, or a student to access educational resources previously out of reach.
This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely while connecting regularly with M-KOPA's markets in Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, or Uganda. You'll experience firsthand the impact of your work through field visits and collaboration across diverse teams.
Join us and transform your product leadership career into a force for financial inclusion. At M-KOPA, we don't just advance your professional development—we empower you to own your journey through coaching partnerships, on-the-job training, family-friendly policies, and genuine flexibility.
