As we expand into India, the second-largest bus market globally, we are looking for a strategic and driven Team Lead – Network Planning to design and optimize our bus network, shaping the future of mobility in the region.  

You will lead network planning team - the architect of our business, collaborating closely with commercial functions, business development and operations to design the network, allocate bus types, manage timetables, and drive efficiencies. 

The position is based in our Gurugram office, hybrid model. 

Your Tasks – Paint the world green

• You lead your team to design, develop, and scale a robust and profitable bus network across India, balancing travel demand, profitability, and sustainability


• You work closely with business partners, revenue management, and local teams to plan and implement FlixBus lines, ensuring smooth line starts and operations


• You analyse data on market trends, competition, passenger movement, and viability to define the regional network, optimize bus lines to meet customer travel demand, and ensure a scalable, profitable bus network by balancing costs and revenue


• You have strong bias for action - you analyse internal data and seek data from ground ops, bus partners, customer feedback and BD teams to refine the network and make quick incremental changes to get it to most optimal state


• You build, train and lead high-performing team, fostering the positive culture of accountability & collaboration, and healthy work environment of our Berlin HQ is maintained and fostered in the growing New Delhi Hub


• You act as a Local Ambassador and will be taking responsibility for transferring knowledge from Global HQ to the local teams. Your role is crucial in ensuring alignment with our mission while fostering a deep understanding of our practices, values, and standards at the local level 

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in business, transportation, urban planning, geography, economics or a related field


• 5–8+ years of experience in project management, supply/transportation planning, or a related field in fast-paced business-driven environments


• 1–3 years of leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to lead diverse teams, manage projects effectively, and nurture talent


• Deep understanding of India's transportation landscape, including socio-geographical dynamics and market specifics   


• Strong analytical and modelling skills to tackle complex transportation and planning challenges


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring alignment and collaboration across diverse groups


• Organized and autonomous, have a team and customer-oriented working style and consider yourself a travel enthusiast with a proactive attitude towards challenges.
