The project seeks to provide a sustainable and cost-efficient solution to water pollution, river remediation and wastewater treatment in a cost-effective, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly manner in local communities in Ghana. The technology has a wide range of benefits over both traditional and modern techniques. Furthermore, these wetlands can be integrated or constructed practically everywhere wastewater treatment is required, including hotels, communities, municipalities, estates, wastewater treatment facilities and many more.

Studies on wastewater (industrial and domestic) treatment using biotechnologies, electrochemical techniques and algae. And further studies on Microbial Desalination Cells to improve its simultaneous performance and scale-up.
