Experience
PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association
Intern
April 2024 - August 2024
During my internship with PCOS Challenge, I was responsible for several critical tasks that contributed to the organization’s public health efforts and operational efficiency:
Research and Data Analysis: I conducted comprehensive literature reviews on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), helping to compile up-to-date research that informed program development and advocacy efforts. This involved analyzing relevant studies and synthesizing findings to support evidence-based interventions.
Program Monitoring and Evaluation: I played a key role in monitoring the effectiveness of educational programs aimed at improving health outcomes for women with PCOS. This included collecting participant feedback, tracking program engagement, and evaluating overall impact to ensure alignment with the organization’s goals.
Database Management: I was responsible for updating and maintaining the organization’s database, ensuring that it contained accurate and current information. I added new contacts and refined existing entries to support improved communication and outreach with stakeholders and participants.
Content Creation: I assisted in developing content for PCOS Challenge’s educational platforms, including informational materials for their website, social media, and newsletters. This content focused on increasing awareness and providing valuable health information for women with PCOS.
These responsibilities allowed me to refine my skills in research, M&E, database management, and content creation, while contributing to the organization’s mission to enhance health outcomes for women affected by PCOS.
