Associate Researcher at Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research
As an Associate Researcher at Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research (ZIPAR), I support the production and dissemination of quality and timely research reports and policy commentaries on emerging themes related to cross-cutting issues of sustainable development. I have participated as an expert in the development of Zambia’s National Green Growth Index report, the Green Growth Diagnostics for Zambia, and the review of research documents and tools for the Ecosystems-Based Adaptation Zambia project. With a Master of Environmental Management from The University of Queensland, I am interested in how environmental management and sustainability can be mainstreamed into public policies, and I have contributed to publications and policy briefs on this topic. I have also acquired certifications on sustainability science, circular economy, and waste management, enhancing my skills and knowledge in these domains. I am passionate about finding solutions that balance the needs of people and the planet.

Zambia Environmental Management Agency
Natural Resources Intern
October 2018 - January 2019
● Helped organise meetings centred on Invasive Water Weed Management
● Assisted the Inspectorate in Data Entry and Verification
● Assisted the Legal Department in preparing license certificates and handing them over to clients
● Accompanied Inspectorate officers whilst they inspected premises with the aim of confirming whether households and companies were observing, or had contravened, certain environmental regulations.
Achievement: Whilst organising a follow up meeting for Invasive Water Weed Management, I suggested we include another group who my supervisor had mentioned whilst we were preparing for the first meeting but was not included. This was agreed to so long as I could find the contact details of this suggested group and contact them myself. Being able to do so, the group attended the meeting. When data was called for from the participants, this group was the first to reply and submitted the relevant data needed to make an informed decision.
