Description
As a world market leader in crop protection, we help farmers to counter these threats and ensure enough safe, nutritious, affordable food for all – while minimizing the use of land and other agricultural inputs. Syngenta Crop Protection keeps plants safe from planting to harvesting. From the moment a seed is planted through to harvest, crops need to be protected from weeds, insects and diseases as well as droughts and floods, heat and cold. ROLE PURPOSE
We are seeking a driven and scientifically curious CPD Intern based in Pietermaritzburg to contribute to the development and evaluation of innovative crop protection solutions through hands-on field activities. This role is crucial for enhancing Syngenta's product pipeline by assisting with the execution and data collection of field trials. The ideal candidates will be passionate about agricultural science and eager to apply their knowledge in practical, field-oriented environments.

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture (B.Sc. Agriculture or B. Agric)
- Have strong academic performance and motivation
- Valid Driving license
- Proficiency in data analysis, and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong language skills (Afrikaans and English).
- Agriculture understanding/exposure is beneficial for technical understanding.
