Dr. Hae Won Park is a Research Scientist at MIT Media Lab and a Principal Investigator of the Social Robot Companions Program. Her research pioneers the field of socio-emotive AI, embodied conversational agents, and long-term personalization of social robots. Her work spans from education for young children to wellbeing support for older adults. Her research has been published and recognized as best paper at top robotics and AI venues. She received her PhD from Georgia Tech in 2014, during which she co-founded Zyrobotics, an assistive education robotics startup that was recognized as the best 2015 US robotics startup by Robohub.
