As a qualified Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 7 years’ experience in environmental law, I am decidedly interested in the nexus of environmental legal policies and regulations in Kenya and the African continent and perception + practice (or lack of) at the grassroots community level and the impact of this on environmental rule of law. With critical and in-depth insights into prevailing trends surrounding environmental and social governance (ESG), sustainable development, climate change, waste management and environmental plant, animal and human welfare within Africa, I have grown into social entrepreneur, digital activist and an advocate for environmental rule of law. As a consultant in this ever changing and challenging field, I am an environmentalist at heart and soul, a peacemaker, a healer, a conservator, a teacher and a student at all times.
