I have recently completed my Undergraduate program in Urban and Regional Planning at Kenyatta University and I am eager to apply the knowledge and skills I acquired practically. I would also like to diversify my knowledge across the urban and regional planning field and positively contribute to society. I have a keen interest in conservation of the environment with the relevant sustainable development goals in mind. The relevant SDGs include 11: Cities and Human Settlement, 13: Climate Changes and 17 which is Revitalizing global partnership for sustainable development. I look forward to exploring possible ways of utilizing the current resources while having the future generations in mind and reducing the impacts of climate change. During my studies and experiences, for example, attachment at Uasin Gishu County government, I was able to gain a few skills and knowledge which I think I could utilize. These included; digitization using ArcGIS and AutoCAD software, making maps and collecting coordinate points using GIS. I am also a hardworking individual who is passionate about finding creative solutions to problems. I am an excellent team player who enjoys working with people with the ability to achieve my targets even under pressure. I am excited to sharpen my skills, gain more knowledge and get new experiences as I work with various communities. I am particularly interested in interacting with other team members and being able to learn from them even as I expand my network.
