The proposed GCF-funded project that was developed for Uganda will broaden the use of
climate information products and services in Uganda with the aim of building resilience to and
capacity to assess climate change impacts on vulnerable populations, sectors and businesses. This
built on the implementation of the previously completed GEF (LDCF) funded project to strengthen
the use of climate information and Early Warning Systems (SCIEWS) in Uganda by enabling the use
of climate information and early warning systems to help make climate-resilient decisions. It also
builds on the experiences of the ongoing Wetland Restoration and Community Resilience project
that is co-funded by the GCF.
