# About Najeeb Jarrar

Najeeb is currently the interim head of Marketing for Google in the Middle East and North Africa. In his role, Najeeb looks after Google's Marketing strategy in the region, oversees new product and features rollout across MENA and Arabic globally, and works closely with Engineers on developing specific features for the region that help users during their daily life and **enabling online user growth in MENA from 10 million in 2009 to 189 million today**. 

During his tenure at Google in Dubai, **Najeeb launched almost all Google’s consumer products in the region** and in Arabic from search features, to YouTube, Google Translate, Android as well as partnering with local and regional entities to enrich the Arabic web ecosystem and to help Arabic content grow.

**Ali Kesserwani** is a senior professional with over 11 years of diverse experiences, 6 of which have been in the UAE, the Middle East, and Asia. Ali is currently leading Udacity For Government's Middle East & Asia partnerships with government entities & foundations to transform livelihoods across the Arab World & Asia - through the Dubai lens. **Ali is also currently a lead on the Dubai Government's One Million Arab Coders & Global Chapters initiatives.**

Ali led major **strategy consulting government projects at Monitor Deloitte** that spanned all kinds of industries including education, digital, and health. His major projects include socio-economic & spatial city strategies, diversifying fiscal scenarios for healthcare institutions, and labor market optimization across the region.Prior to consulting, he worked as a business development professional for a family office with operations in Africa, Europe, and the Far East.

His contribution to community development transcends Udacity - he is a cofounder and strategic planner of a community development NGO and cofounder of a Sister School chapter in troubled areas of the region. Ali is always on the lookout for new ventures, entrepreneurs, and bold ideas that aim for - and make - change happen.
